Where chaço.com is — and where it’s going
An honest look at what the tool can do today, how it works, and what we’re building next. No hype — just well-priced cars, found with numbers you can trust.
What it does today
The whole market, one place
The used cars for sale across Portugal, all in one place — see what’s out there without hopping around.
One listing per car
When the same car shows up more than once, we show it once — at the best price — with the duplicates a tap away. No clutter, and comparisons aren’t double-counted.
Every car valued
A fair-price estimate for each listing, with a confidence level and the number of comparable cars behind it — so you know which numbers to trust.
Picks & Salvage
The best opportunities ranked by trustworthy margin. Salvage (write-offs) valued against their repaired price — your upside before parts and labour.
The worksheet
Turn a candidate into a number: list the repairs, add overheads and resale, and land on a max bid you can act on.
Browse, filter, explore
The whole catalogue filterable by make, model, year, fuel, seller and more; a visual price-vs-mileage explorer; and trends on which models are worth flipping.
Your pipeline
Save and stage cars from shortlist to bought/sold, see what you’ve already viewed, and an archive of listings that have gone off-market. Works on the phone, for when you’re standing next to the car.
Deal alerts
Save a search and get an email the moment a new car matching it lands — stop checking, be told. You’re never sent the same car twice.
How it works
Four steps, kept simple and explainable on purpose — you have to trust the number before risking money on it.
Catalogue
A broad catalogue of the used cars for sale across Portugal, all in one place.
Value
A separate model for each make/model learns the fair price from the current market — using age, mileage, power, fuel, gearbox, trim and generation — benchmarked to dealer pricing. Every estimate carries a confidence and how many comparable cars support it.
Score
We rank how far each car sits below its fair value, weighted by confidence — a big discount on a shaky estimate never outranks a solid one. Cars priced suspiciously low get flagged to inspect (usually damage, not free money), not hidden.
Decide
The worksheet does the maths — repairs, costs, resale, max bid. We deliberately don’t auto-diagnose damage or promise returns: the tool surfaces and quantifies, you decide.
The roadmap
- Refining valuation accuracy as the catalogue and history grow
- More of the catalogue now valued against the same market, not just browsable
- Broader, deeper coverage of the market
- Price-drop watch — a heads-up when a car you’re tracking drops its asking price
- Post-flip learning — record what you actually bought/sold for; the model measures and improves its own accuracy
- Days-on-market — factor how fast each model sells into the ranking, not just the margin
- Compare two cars side by side
- Sharper duplicate matching using listing photos (for cars listed without full details)
- A free valuation checker — get a fair-price verdict on a car you’re eyeing
- Possibly subscription tiers, and valuation tools for dealers
Priorities can shift — this is the direction, not a contract. The guiding principle stays the same: honest valuations you can act on.
